A Triumph in Madrid: Rosana Largo Dresses the Heritage of Valladolid

This Sunday, Madrid witnessed a spectacular fusion of fashion, culture, and tourism as the Valladolid Provincial Council successfully presented the fashion show “The Province of Valladolid Dresses Its Heritage” by Rosana Largo at Plaza del Callao. The event transformed the heart of the Spanish capital into an urban runway, celebrating the rich identity, history, and heritage of Valladolid.

Rosana Largo’s Textile Art Comes to Life in Madrid

The show featured 13 dress-paintings by renowned Valladolid-based designer Rosana Largo, each conceived as a true work of textile art. These unique creations translated key cultural, historical, and tourism landmarks of the Valladolid province into innovative fashion pieces, highlighting the region’s charm through a modern artistic lens.

A Unique Cultural Initiative in Spain

This pioneering fashion-meets-culture initiative—one of a kind in Spain—was hosted by TVE presenter Paco de Benito and accompanied by the Bisel Saxophone Group, whose live music enriched the atmosphere of the show.

As the event organizers, we proudly provided professional models who brought Rosana Largo’s artistic creations to life on the runway in Madrid, ensuring a seamless and captivating presentation for all attendees.

Attendance and Impact

The event drew a diverse audience, including local authorities, business leaders, journalists, media representatives, and members of the public, showcasing the provincial identity and tourism potential of Valladolid on a national stage.

Looking Ahead: FITUR 2026

The initiative will continue at FITUR 2026, the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, held from January 21–25, 2026. On January 22 at 2:00 PM, the Castile and León Pavilion will host a similar fashion show, followed by the continuous presence of models wearing these artistic creations throughout the fair. This will further promote Valladolid’s culture, tourism, and heritage internationally.
