Swissotel Al Ghurair
We tried recently Swissotel at Al Ghurair, and we have to say that it is the perfect staycation destination in Dubai!
Swissotel Al Ghurair is a luxury five-star hotel located in Deira in the heart of Dubai. The hotel is surrounded by outstanding architecture and breathtaking designs. Linked to the iconic Al Ghurair shopping center, it is within walking distance to famous landmarks and cultural locations such as the City's colorful Souqs, Dubai Creek, Downtown Dubai and other historical districts. It is in close proximity to Dubai International Airport and walking distance from Dubai Union Station. The hotel has 428 rooms and suites, perfect business or leisure.
We had the chance to experience the Deluxe Suite. It was really elegant and spacious, with 111.6 Sqm and a king size bed and a living room. Our room had a spectacular view of Dubai Creek and Burj Khalifa, dining table, large walk in shower, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and a beautiful and delicious fresh fruits plate.
All rooms are equipped with multi satellite 42" LCD TV, high speed wireless internet access, IP phones in the bedroom, Executive Lounge Access which entitles you to a complimentary buffet breakfast and Internet access in the Lounge.
During our stay we tried 2 of the hotel restaurants. Liwan, the all day dinning and the Persian Shayan.
LIWAN RESTAURANT
Offers a wide selection of international dishes at a daily buffet service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, alongside an inspired à la carte offering. The restaurant comprises of a relaxing terrace that offers an extensive range of hubbly bubbly flavours.
SHAYAN RESTAURANT
Offers a range of authentic Persian dishes, served in a comfortable and elegant ambiance. The restaurant features a separate semi-private dining area, several cozy seating booths and large communal tables for larger groups.
The highligh of the stay was the visit to the SPA.
It has 8 treatment rooms with one couple suite offering a luxurious range of treatments including facial, massage and body scrub. I had a great facial treatment, that I really recommend. I also spent some time relaxing by the Jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms.
