Season 6 at Carnival by Trésind

Carnival by Trésind in one of my favorite places in Dubai. They are located in Burj Daman in DIFC, and they are the most creative and innovative restaurant in town, in my opinion.

Every few months they change the food and drinks menu, and they just released the Season 6.

This season, the menu is based on dishes inspired by well known books from around the world, for example Five Shades Of Pumpkin, Life Of Pi, Don’t Be Shellfish, Encyclopedia of Nilgiri, Hot Sauce Nation, etc. The drinks menu is divided in chapters, they have 6 new cocktails.

In their own words: Having researched for over a year and a half, sifting through books of various origins, themes, genres, etc., we present to you Season 6 which brings forth an exciting and theatrical rendition to Indian food.

Along with this new Season, they also present a true Delhi-style street food experience. An area looking like an Indian street created for guests to enjoy a traditional, old-Delhi street food experience, offering some of the most popular Indian street style dishes like bhel, pani-puri, jalebi chaat, among others.

This place is called Dilli-6 and it's very cool because you can see the Chef preparing the dishes in front of you, and he will also explain what he is doing and you can ask him questions.

During my experience I tried the tasting menu that includes:

- Pani puri (tanga)

- Momo-fuku chicken momos, red chili chutney, charred cucumber salad

- Hot sauce nation shrimp mezhukkupuratti, homemade black pepper tobasco

- Meatilicious grilled lamb chops, mysore masala, mini dosa crisp

- Sorbet *above photo

- Encyclopedia of nilgiri nilgiri chicken korma, aromatic green spices

- Fish tajine seabass curry, preserved lemon, kalamata olives

- Indian desserts including ice creams and lemon cake

Drink: Chapter iii – Dum biryani biryani flavored vodka, baileys, apple juice & honey.

The restaurant was really full and the staff very attentive. I want to congrats Chef Vinu Raveendran and the whole team for their beautiful creations.

The dress code is smart casual, and you can see the whole experience in the video vlog below.
