Andes; Contemporary South American
Andes is one of the latest South American restaurants opened Dubai. They are operating since August 2018, located in One Central by Dubai World Trade Centre.
They offer authentic flavours and the most fresh ingredients all the way from Latin America, where their Chefs and staff come from.
The dining room is designed to seat guests around a central garden, beautifuly decorated with trees and stones. They also offer a cozy terrace ideal for this time of the year (open from October-May) and a chef's table overlooking the open kitchen and pass where guests get to enjoy the Chefs in acction.
Andes is a good option from breakfast to dinner. They have a coffee bar where they serve all kinds of coffee, tea, juices, fresh artisan bakery and pastries.
During my visit I had the chance to try:
- Ceviche: Smoked yellow fin tuna + Andes Leche de Tigre. For me it was very different to other ceviches I tried, as the fish was cutted in stripes, not cubes and there was not much leche de tigre.
- Grilled Calamari (Calamares) Broccolini, seasonal herb relish, chili mayo. Really nice presentation!
- Chicken Pasta (Pasta y Tierra)Smoked chicken, Comté cheese, seasonal mushrooms. Delicious
- BrisketWagyu brisket smoked (15 hours), beef sauce, shallot confit. This one was my favourite dish, amazing flavours and cooked to perfection.
For dessert I had Cusco: Rice + dairy ice cream, lemon curd, white chocolate. The presentation and the flavours were amazing. I loved how the Chef explained her creation to us, that represent the colours and flavours of Latin America, where she is from.
For drink I had a Lemon + Pomegranate juice (strawberries, mixed berries, pomegranate reduction, lemon) from their botanical mixology section, made with carefully purveyed botanicals; shaken, stirred and served with house syrups and seasonally inspired flavours.
I have to mention that they don´t serve alcohol.

The dress code it´s smart casual. I was wearing a knee length mustard colour dress, jewelery from Ppreeti Mohan, and black high heels, however in this case sandals or ballerinas are also a good option.
